Absolutely. The Academy is designed so you do not need previous massage or bodywork experience. I’ll teach you how to begin with the basics—how to place your hands on your horse, what to notice, what different tissues feel like, and how to gradually develop your own feel. More experienced horse people and professional bodyworkers will also find plenty here to deepen their skills.

As much or as little as works for you. The Academy is not meant to become another obligation. You can watch the lessons at your own pace and, more importantly, spend time practicing with your horse. Even relatively short, thoughtful sessions can teach you a tremendous amount. This is about developing awareness and feel over time—not racing through material.

Yes—in fact, The Academy is primarily intended for horse owners, riders and trainers who want to better understand their own horses. You do not need to become a massage therapist. In fact, I don’t put a high priority on memorizing anatomy. This is just about developing feel. And improving your connection with your horse. The goal is to help you become more observant, improve your palpation and feel, recognize changes in your horse’s body, and develop a deeper physical and emotional connection with your horse.

Yes. There is no reason for me to make it difficult for someone to leave. You can cancel your membership at any time and simply discontinue future monthly payments. I want people to remain members because they continue to find The Academy valuable—not because they are trapped in a contract.

You can still benefit tremendously from The Academy. If you ride, lease, care for, groom or regularly handle horses, much of what you learn can be practiced and developed whenever you have appropriate access to a horse. The principles of observation, feel, palpation, body awareness and connection will remain valuable regardless of whether the horse is technically yours. You may also just find these videos to be incredibly relaxing in an ASMR kind of way.
